Asphalt

  • Clean road asphalt or grindings

  • Minimal grass is acceptable

  • Mostly dry and uncontaminated

  • Dirt or heavy (light is fine) grass contaminated
  • Tar-based roofing material
  • Mixed concrete or layers

Dry Wall

  • Clean drywall offcuts
  • Painted or primed drywall
  • Drywall with light screws or nails

  • Wet or moldy drywall

  • Drywall with insulation or backing

  • Asbestos-containing drywall

Wood

  • Untreated wood
  • Pallets, framing lumber
  • Lightly painted or stained wood
❌ Not Accepted
  • Pressure-Treated Wood: Chemically treated for outdoor use (decks, fences). Not recyclable due to harmful chemicals.

  • Laminated, Glued, or Composite Wood: Includes plywood, MDF, particleboard. Not recyclable due to adhesives and binding agents.

  • Wood with Heavy Metal Hardware: Large nails, bolts, brackets, or hinges attached. Damages recycling machinery.

Concrete

  • Clean chunks with light rebar

  • Dry, uncoated concrete

  • Brick, rock, masonry

❌ Not Accepted
  • Coated or sealed concrete.

  • Concrete mixed with wood, asphalt, or other materials.

  • Concrete with excessive metal mesh or heavy rebar.

Styrofoam

  • Clean white, in large pieces (not broken into small bits)

  • No food residue, stickers/tape

❌ Not Accepted
  • Takeout containers, cups, or food-contaminated foam.

  • Colored or dirty foam.

  • Foam with stickers, tape, or labels.

Cardboard

  • Dry and mostly clean  

  • No food residue, wax coatings, plastic linings, or heavy tape

❌ Not Accepted
  • Wet or moldy cardboard
  • Food or grease-stained
  • Wax-coated or lined cardboard

Metals

  • Clean scrap metal

  • Wire, nails, brackets

  • Ferrous and non-ferrous metals

❌ Not Accepted
  • Greasy or Oily Metal: Metal contaminated with oil, grease, or chemicals that interfere with the recycling process.

  • Mixed Materials: Metal attached to plastic, wood, insulation, or other non-metal components, making separation and recycling difficult.

  • Pressurized Containers or Tanks: Items like propane tanks, fire extinguishers, or aerosol cans that can be hazardous or cause damage during processing.

Roofing Shingles

  • Clean asphalt shingles

  • Uncontaminated shingles

  • Shingles without debris

❌ Not Accepted
  • Shingles with Underlayment: Roofing materials attached to felt, tar paper, or other underlayments that are difficult to separate.

  • Wet or Moldy Shingles: Moisture-damaged shingles or those with visible mold growth, which can contaminate the recycling process.

  • Mixed Debris with Shingles: Loads containing nails, wood, insulation, or other construction materials mixed with shingles.

Co-Mingled Pile

  • Mixed loads of clean materials (Drywall, Wood, Metal etc).

  • Separated get a 15% discount

❌ Not Accepted
  • Contaminated Loads: Mixed with garbage, food waste, or dangerous materials.

  • Improperly Mixed Materials: Items tangled together or stuck (e.g., wood glued to concrete, plastic melted onto metal).

  • Non-Recyclable Items: Insulation, treated wood, vinyl, or anything not listed as acceptable.

  • Chemicals and Hazardous Waste: Paint, oil, fuel, batteries, asbestos, or anything with strong smells or leaks.

  • Dirty or Muddy Loads: Materials covered in heavy mud, oil, or sticky substances.
